Group: 32 Share: Yes Date: 09/16/04 Time: 09:44 PM Details: Georgiana Pennington was the G Grand Daughter of Wells Pennington through Theophilus then Michael Uriah. In May of 1891 she married Polk K. Pennington in Hunt County, Texas. Polk was the son of E. L. Pennington of Bullock Co. Alabama and was born in Alabama about Feb of 1865. Polk and Georgiana resided in the Washington DC/Alexandria VA area from 1891 until 1925 where he was a clerk in the War Dept. They had two daughters, Mary A. and Elizabeth S. In the 1930 census, Georgiana is living with her daughter Elizabeth (Mrs. Robert Callier) in Kansas City, Missouri. That is the last that I know of her except her death date. Family tradition says that during a visit to her parents home in Greenville, Texas, she took the Pennington Family Bible to have it restored. Family tradition also says that it never came back to Texas. I am hoping to find information about her in Kansas City that might help track down her burial place and perhaps the location of that bible.
