PRA 2007 Reunion and Meeting

We had planned on meeting in North Carolina but that was changed.  The PRA Board decided not to have a PRA 2007 Reunion/Meeting because the North Carolina Archives were closed for most of 2007 for remodeling.  We had intended to visit the Archives as the focal point of the reunion.  Another reason cited was that no other PRA Member has volunteered to host a 2007 Reunion and meeting.

However, the PRA Board is having a "Cyberspace" meeting now (July 2007) to conduct business and make decisions about several important subjects.  "Cyberspace" Board meetings are authorized by the PRA's Bylaws.

PRA 2008 Reunion and Meeting

2008 Pennington Research Association Annual Reunion and Meeting will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina August 7 - 9, 2008.

Jim and Sharon Pennington will be our hosts for the 2008 Reunion and Meeting in Raleigh, North Carolina.  The Board has approved the meeting location and dates.

History of PRA Annual Reunions/Meetings

After several years of the pioneer work by Bee Holmes, the first Annual Reunion/Meeting was held in Wichita, Kansas in 1979.  The list of Annual Reunions/Meetings to date follows:

*Note:  These numbers reflect reported attendance by the host.  In some cases, the numbers reflect the number of people who attended the banquet while others reflect the number of people who attended just the conference.
